Personalized Assessment: Our Family Caregiver Specialist will conduct a thorough assessment of your caregiving needs and preferences. This step ensures we create a tailored plan that aligns with your specific requirements.
Caregiver Support Plan: Based on the assessment, we’ll develop a comprehensive caregiver support plan specifically designed to cater to your unique circumstances. You choose when and how often you want to receive respite care, and who will provide the service. You can choose a trusted family member, friend, or professional from one of our partner agencies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does WMEC supply the respite person?

While WMEC doesn’t, we work with partner agencies who can provide someone, or you can choose to use a family member or friend.

How does the program work?

Our Family Caregiver Specialist will assess your needs. Approved caregivers will be assigned a total number of hours to be used for respite care. You choose when and how often you use those hours.

Do you need my income in order to be part of the program?

The CARE program requires no income information to be supplied.

Is there a fee for the program?

There is no fee for the CARE program.

Can I qualify for the program is I receive Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or Adult Family Care (AFC) services?

Unfortunately, if you receive PCA or AFC services, you do not qualify for the CARE program. However, don’t let that stop you from contacting us, as we may have other support options for you.

Will you pay for my massage?

While we won’t pay for your massage, we will ensure you get the support you need so you can take the time to get one, if that’s what you want! Contact us today for more information!
